Georgia Interfaith Power and Light will host a seminar Wednesday to help Cobb County congregations save energy.
The Power Wise project is designed to convert congregations from wasting energy by heating and cooling large sanctuaries all week. So far, 80 Georgia congregations have enrolled in the Power Wise program, which is funded by federal stimulus money and a local foundation. Congregations can receive grants for energy efficient upgrades.
The luncheon is free, open to clergy and begins at 11:30 a.m. at Turner Chapel AME, 492 North Marietta Pkwy. in Marietta.
