East Lake Road tract in Henry County gets ZAB approval

The Henry County Zoning Advisory Board voted at its May 9 regular meeting to recommend approval of a rezoning request for a 50-acre site at the northeast corner of East Lake Road and Springdale Road.

The proposed zoning change is from RA (residential agricultural) to RS (residential suburban) and the plan is for a mixture of townhomes and duplex lots on the property for a total of 184 dwelling units, which is within the guidelines under the county’s future land use map, according to county staff. Several conditions were recommended by staff which were included in the motion passed by the ZAB.
