Dunwoody United Methodist Church has opened a counseling center to help congregants and others deal with issues like depression and substance abuse.
The Dunwoody United Methodist Counseling Center is designed to serve the Dunwoody United Methodist Church congregation but will be open to the public. Pete Hutchings III, a psychologist and licensed marriage and family therapist, will serve as director.
The center, 5054 Nandina Lane, Suite B, will initially be open two days a week and will offer individual counseling for depression, anxiety, grief, substance abuse and family and couples counseling. Other types of counseling will be added later.
There is a fees for services. A grant from the Onnie Mae Spruill Foundation was received to help start the ministry. To make an appointment call 770-542-0838.
