Dunwoody officers hope to make Polar Plunge, raise $10K

Feb 18, 2011Six Dunwoody police officers hope to raise at least $10,000 through their participation Saturday in the 2011 Polar Plunge, which benefits Special Olympics Georgia.
The event is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Lake Lanier Islands. The Polar Plunge will have food, music, costume contests, a bounce house, dunking booths and Special Olympics athlete appearances, among other things.

Lake Lanier Islands Resorts will waive the gate fee for plungers and spectators.
