A Dunwoody man was shot and killed Monday outside his apartment complex, police said.

32-year-old Ivan Perez was shot at about 3:40 p.m. near building No. 8 at the Pointe at Perimeter Apartments, said Sgt. Mike Carlson with Dunwoody police.

Perez was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said the shooting did not appear to be random.

Police are asking the public's assistance in identifying a suspect seen at the apartment complex, located at 100 Ashford Gables Drive, and driving towards Ashford Dunwoody Road. Those with information are asked to contact Sgt. Gary Cortellino at 678-382-6908 or gary.cortellino@dunwoodyga.gov. Anonymous tips may be submitted at dunwoodypolice.com, or crimereports.com.
