Dunwoody Baptist Preschool will have a grand opening for its new science lab Thursday morning.

The reception starts at 9 a.m. at 1445 Mt. Vernon Road  in Room F201. School administrators will display a number of the curriculum items that will be used to teach scientific concepts, animal life and life cycles and a variety of hands-on experiments.

The lab boasts an African tortoise, bearded dragon, four fire-bellied toads and an aquarium of fish. There are also four murals in the lab, including three showing the life cycles of frogs, birds, butterflies and eagles that were painted by teacher Ming-Su Wang.
