A 95-year-old woman died Tuesday after the car she was driving left an embankment and hit the rear of a vacant home in Acworth, authorities say.
The driver, Mary Barron of Acworth, may have had some type of medical emergency before the accident, according to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident occurred around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday on Bells Ferry Road and Oak Leaf Court.
Barron was transported to Kennestone Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. An autopsy was planned to determine the exact cause of death.
