The Magnolia hotel in Clayton County was condemned Thursday and guests of 36 occupied rooms were forced to vacate, officials said.

The structure posed “an imminent danger to human life,” the county said in a news release.

More than 20 code violations were found during an inspection, such as trash piled up on the property, mold, exposed electrical wiring and non-functional exit signs.

“Displaced guests were provided with a reasonable amount of time to gather their personal possessions in preparation to vacate the property,” the release said.

Channel 2's Nicole Carr was there as the Board of Health inspected the property.
