The Doraville City Council decided to defer the request for a permit from Evangelism by Fire Ministry. The organization requested a conditional use permit to operate a church at 5873 New Peachtree Road, Suite 100. If approved, the applicant would operate the church within the existing secondary building located in the rear of the property, ministering largely to indigents.

The council voiced concerns about the plan of the organization to conduct business that would not be a nuisance to its neighbors, and discussed denying the applicant. The council decided to give the applicant more time to produce a plan to address concerns about possible loitering around the church, and deferred its vote until the Nov. 14 council meeting.
