A developer will meet Wednesday with Decatur residents to discuss plans to renovate a mall just north of the city limits.

Selig Enterprises wants to redevelop Suburban Plaza on North Decatur Road between Church Street and Medlock Road, and Walmart wants to build a new store there.

The meeting with the Decatur Heights Neighborhood Association and nearby businesses is at 7 p.m. at the medical theater of DeKalb Medical, according to DeKalb County Commissioner Jeff Rader's office. The renovation hinges on a parking variance from the county's zoning appeals board Dec. 14.
