A Delta flight from Atlanta made an emergency landing Sunday afternoon due to smoke in the cockpit.

St. Louis-bound Flight 1199 landed in Cape Girardeau, Mo., where 132 passengers and five crew members were evacuated from the MD80. No one was injured, according to various media reports.

Sean McMahn of Atlanta said the smell of smoke was strong right before they landed, the Southeast Missourian reported.

"It was a little scary," he told the newspaper.

Buses transported passengers to St. Louis.
