DeKalb to vote on Clarkston pool

Clarkston could get a new public pool, if the DeKalb County Commission approves the project at Milam Park.

The county is to vote Tuesday on whether to use $500,000 in federal block grant money to build a pool and bath house at the nearly 8-acre park in Clarkston. The existing pool there has been closed since 2008, though the park is home to six pavilions, two tennis courts and ball fields.

If approved, work could begin on a new pool in time for it to open next year.
