DeKalb starting off-site pet adoptions, lowering fees
DeKalb County Animal Services has started an off-site adoption program to help more pets find homes.
The county is also discounting adoption fees, with all cats available this month for $40 and dogs available for $60 starting July 21.
The first off-site adoption was held Saturday at a new Petco, 2115 North Decatur Road, near Decatur. Future adoptions also will be held on Saturdays at the store.
