Parents of students attending the 22 DeKalb County schools that ranked as not making "adequate yearly progress" have until 4 p.m. Thursday to apply to have their children transfered, if they wish to do so, under the No Child Left Behind Act. Robert Moseley, DeKalb's Chief Deputy Superintendent, told the Board of Education Monday night that 689 students so far have applied for transfer.
