DeKalb County Commissioner Larry Johnson wants to make sure criminals have company Friday nightt along the Glenwood Road corridor.

Johnson is calling for a Caravan Against Crime, starting at 9 p.m. at the Flea Market on Glenwood at I-285 and traveling to the Christian Jubilee Full Word Baptist Church on Glenwood near Decatur.

Police and fire vehicles will be part of the caravan, as will cars driven by local business owners and church members. Different county and community agencies will be set up at the church, to help connect residents with services.

The event also coincides with the opening of a new mini police precinct in the shopping plaza at 4467 Glenwood Road.
