A man wanted in connection with a DeKalb County murder last summer was tracked down and arrested in eastern Pennsylvania and returned to jail over the weekend.

Robert M. Eagan, 37, is charged with malice murder, felony murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault and gun possession, among other offenses, in the Aug. 17, 2011, shooting death of Christopher Lam.

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office fugitives task force traced Eagan to Thornton, Pa., about 30 miles west of Philadelphia, where U.S. marshals arrested him earlier this month.

He was extradited to Georgia and booked into the DeKalb jail early Saturday morning.

Before a grand jury issued the murder arrest warrant in late January, authorities said Eagan was wanted for four counts of felony theft by taking.

A warrant for his arrest was issued in December for allegedly stealing air conditioner motors four times from a warehouse in the 2900 block of Ponce De Leon Avenue near Avondale Estates.

He is being held without bond at the DeKalb jail.
