DeKalb double shooting

DeKalb County police are investigating a double shooting at a motel just outside Interstate 285 at Glenwood Road, according to dispatchers Thursday, June 10, 2010. The night manager at the Friendship Inn said the shooting was around 4 a.m. and it was on the motel property. He did not know if the two victims were residents. One person is reported to be dead and the second was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.

The body of the dead man was still in the motel room at sunrise. The other man had been taken to an area hospital but his condition was unknown. Several people who were staying at the motel were being questioned, but three hours after the shootings police had no leads and no suspects, nor did they know what caused the gunfire.
