The main shelter for people in DeKalb County, located at

3401 Delmar Lane, is nearing its capacity, officials say.

The Rosel Fann Recreation Center at 355 Cleveland Avenue is expected to open when the Delmar Lane shelter fills, spokesman Mark Henderson said.

While all DeKalb County fire stations are open as warming stations, four warming stations are located at:

  • Fire Station 3, located at 24 N. Clarendon Ave. in Avondale Estates.
  • Fire Station 4, located at 4540 Flakes Mill Road in Ellenwood.
  • Fire Station 6, located at 2342 Flat Shoals Road in Atlanta.
  • Fire Station 25, located at 7136 Rockbridge in Stone Mountain.

The county said the centers were open at noon Sunday.

The administrative area of the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, 4415 Memorial Drive, Decatur, will also be open as a warming center.
