Retirement will probably be even more relaxing for a DeKalb County man who won $500,000 from the Georgia Lottery.

Larry Lucas, 53, played the instant game World Poker Tour and won the big prize.

“I couldn’t believe it,” Lucas said. “It was just unreal.”

Married with three children and four grandchildren, Lucas will use his winnings to buy a new truck and pay bills.

He also wants to do something special for his wife, Cynthia.

“We’ve never been on a honeymoon, so this may be a good time,” he said.

Lucas purchased his top prize ticket at Happy Food Mart, 2199 Idlewood Road, Tucker.
