DeKalb County is altering an entire week of trash and recycling pickup in observance of Labor Day.

There will be no collection on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 2, according to a statement from the sanitation division.

To make up for that, the county is shifting the schedule forward one day for the rest of the week. Here’s the rundown on how your pickup schedule will be affected:

• Customers whose regular collection day is Monday will be serviced on Tuesday, Sept. 3.

• Customers whose regular collection day is Tuesday will be serviced on Wednesday, Sept. 4.

• Customers whose regular collection day is Wednesday will be serviced on Thursday, Sept. 5.

• Customers whose regular collection day is Thursday will be serviced on Friday, Sept. 6.

There are normally no trash pickup on Fridays.

The sanitation division’s administrative office, the Central and North Transfer Stations and the Seminole Road Landfill will also be closed on Labor Day and will reopen on Tuesday.
