A buck just doesn’t go very far at Perimeter Mall these days.

A young male deer wandered onto the mall’s property Wednesday morning, authorities said, and had to be wrangled by a pair of good Samaritans. The buck was subsequently driven to Chattahoochee River Park off of Johnson Ferry Road and released “backed into the woods for some R&R,” Dunwoody Police Officer Tim Fecht said in an email.

“Besides being a very stressful situation for the deer, it was unharmed,” Fecht said.
