Decatur schools trying to register students early

Feb 17, 2010Decatur city schools are trying to get parents to register their children early to make sure they have enough teachers.
The school system is asking parents to register children who are not enrolled in school now, but plan to attend next school year.
Parents can enroll their children at the central office at 758 Scott Blvd. in Decatur. Parents must bring their picture identification, the child’s birth certificate, the child’s social security card and verification of residency. They also must have a completed Georgia immunization form, along with a Georgia hearing, vision and dental screening form, school officials said.
