Retirement planning was simplified recently for a Decatur woman who won $250,000 playing the Georgia Lottery.
Donna Cooley won the top prize playing the instant game Atlanta Falcons In The House.
Cooley, the mother of four children, bought the winning ticket at a Shell Food Mart on College Avenue.
She realized she'd won in the store.
“I said, ‘I can’t believe this,’ ” she told the Georgia Lottery. “I put my glasses on, looking again, and said, ‘Oh my goodness!’”
Donna Cooley and her husband, Chuck, are planning their retirement and want to build a new house and treat their children to a vacation.
