One person is dead and another one injured after a double shooting at a DeKalb apartment complex early Monday, DeKalb County Police officer Mekka Parrish said.
The incident happened at the Creekside Corner Apartments around 3:45 a.m. The men were shot in the parking lot of the apartment complex, at 6306 Turnberry Place.
Investigators think the shooting stemmed from a fight that happened at a club earlier that evening. The people involved in the fight all knew each other, investigators said.
The victims returned to the apartment complex after being at the club, and the other people involved in the fight followed them and confronted them in the parking lot, according to police.
Multiple shots were fired, and the suspected gunmen ran off, police said. The men were taken to an area hospital, where one of the victims died.
Investigators have not released information about the possible suspects.
