One man died and four other people were injured in two separate early Tuesday morning wrecks in Hall County.

Police said Ehsanul Haque, 57, died when the Nissan Maxima he was riding in crashed into a Nissan Pathfinder at McEver Road and Gould Road in Gainesville. The driver, Layla Pervin, 34, and a 9-year-old passenger in the back seat, received minor injuries, according to Georgia State Trooper Bronson Taylor.

In the second accident, four people were seriously injured in a head-on collision involving a concrete truck and an SUV in Hall County early Tuesday.

The SUV driver and two children, ages 7 and 9, were flown by helicopter to area hospitals. The children -- one of whom had to be revived after trauma arrest -- were transported to Scottish Rite hospital in Atlanta, police said. The driver was taken to Atlanta Medical Center.

The concrete truck driver was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

Authorities have not identified the four people involved in the wreck.
