Early voting in Paulding County for the Nov. 5 general election will continue through Nov. 1 but with no Saturday voting.

In Dallas, two races are contested - both for City Council.

Competing for Dallas At-Large Councilman are L. James Kelly Jr. and Brian Hardin.

Contenders for Dallas Ward 3 Councilman are incumbent Leah Kirby Alls and Ryan Ayers.

Unchallenged are Dallas Mayor Boyd Austin, Ward 2 Councilman Michael G. Cason and Ward 4 Councilman James R. (Jim) Henson.

In Hiram, mayoral candidates are Daniel Blount Jr. and Frank Moran.

Uncontested races are for Hiram Post 1 Councilman Teresa Rackley Philyaw and Post 2 Councilman Kathy Bookout.

Also in Hiram, voters will decide whether or not to allow the sale of alcoholic beverages and distilled spirits from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sundays.

All voters in the county will decide whether to renew the one percent tax for the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax that would pay for school facility construction, technology improvements, fine arts initiatives, safety and security upgrades and sports facility improvements.

Voting hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays to Fridays:

  • Now through Nov. 1: Watson Government Complex, 240 Constitution Blvd., Dallas.
  • Now through Nov. 1: The Events Place Hiram, 855 Hiram-Douglasville Highway, Hiram.
  • Oct. 28 to Nov. 1: Burnt Hickory Park, 8650 Cartersville Highway, Dallas.
  • Oct. 28 to Nov. 1: Dianne Wright Innovation Center, 140 Bethel Church Road, Hiram.
