Coweta County pilot killed in desert crash

A 68-year-old Coweta County man died in single-plane crash last week in California.

Anthony H. D'Allen, of Senoia, was the only person aboard the home-built Muse KR2 that disappeared March 7, The Press-Enterprise of Riverside, Calif., reported.

D'Allen's plane crashed in the San Bernardino County desert, the newspaper reported. D'Allen's wife reported him missing after he failed to contact her, a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration said.

Investigators believe D'Allen was heading back to Georgia at the time of the crash.
