The Georgia Supreme Court has denied a request by a Smyrna sporting goods store to revive its slander suit against New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg who accused the store at a 2006 press conference of being one of several "rogue gun dealers."

The store, Adventure Outdoors, filed a $400 million lawsuit against Bloomberg and others. A Cobb County judge dismissed the suit, and his decision was upheld last November by the Georgia Court of Appeals. This week, the state Supreme Court declined to hear the store's appeal of that ruling.
