Commission delays vote on incentive policies

Cobb Commissioners delayed a vote Tuesday on revisions to its policies governing its economic development incentives offered to bring businesses to the county. Commission Chairman Tim Lee got pushback from some commissioners on the plans who wanted more input on when incentives are offered and who makes the final decision. Right now the commission chairman has the final say on when the incentives are offered.

The proposed changes would allow the incentives be offered to companies with less of a financial impact to the county.

A vote on the plan was reset to Oct. 25. Janel Davis
