Two suspects are in jail in Mississippi awaiting extradition to DeKalb County on murder charges in a shooting off Redan Road, local police said Friday.
Keiarra Rainer, 18, and Sharman Sampson, 43, are accused of the death of Lopez Morgan, 55, on Sheppard Place outside Stone Mountain. Morgan was found shot dead March 30 at about 3:30 a.m. and his Chevrolet Avalanche was stolen, police said.

“Detectives also believed that while Rainer met with the victim, Sampson was called there shortly after where he robbed and shot the victim,” Lt. Lonzy Robertson of DeKalb police said. “Both suspects left the location together.”
The vehicle was found by officers in Hollandale, Mississippi, along with the suspects, DeKalb police said. Detectives went to interview them and then took out murder warrants.
Police believe Rainer was a friend of the victim and the other suspect.
Further information hasn’t been released.
