Cops: Woman killed by vehicle had been drinking

A DeKalb County woman struck by a vehicle was cited for being under the influence of alcohol before she died.

The woman, whose name was not released, was walking in the 1300 block of Brockett Road when she was struck Tuesday night, according to a DeKalb County police report obtained by the AJC.

Autry Foster, of Atlanta, was exiting the Brockett Pointe Shopping Center Plaza in a 1971 Chevrolet Impala when he struck the woman, police said. The woman, who police said smelled of alcohol, was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, where she later died.
