Two Cobb County parents are accused of allowing their 4-month-old baby to live in a home filled with dog feces and roaches.
"The residence has extreme insect infestation, dog feces covering the floor of the entire residence, and molded food left out in the kitchen area," the arrest warrants, obtained by the AJC, state.
The baby's infant seat had roaches crawling on it and live electrical cords suspended above it in the Austell home, according to Cobb County police.
Police arrested the child's parents, Rebecca Marie Willette, 18, and John Christopher Torrance, 22, and charged them each with misdemeanor contributing to the deprivation of a minor, according to Cobb County jail records.
Willette was booked into jail early Tuesday and released Wednesday afternoon after posting $2,500 bond, booking records show. Torrance was arrested Wednesday and remained Friday afternoon in jail, where he was being held on $2,500 bond.
