Men trying to sell security systems in the Norcross area sport name tags that include the city's motto. The men tell potential customers they've been endorsed by the Norcross police department.

But the salesmen are phonies, police said.

"The Norcross Police Department does not endorse security systems and has no knowledge of these individuals," Capt. Brian Harr said.

The men are described as white males, in their 50s, casually dressed and wearing a name tag with the motto "Norcross, A Place to Imagine," police said. They are believed to be driving a white SUV with an unknown company logo on the sides.

Anyone who comes in contact with the men is asked to contact Norcross police at 770-448-2111.
