Gwinnett County police are looking for a man who allegedly stole at least $3,000 in cash from a grocery store’s office.

The man entered El Sol Supermercado in Norcross around 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 15, according to police. After walking around the store with a shopping basket for a while, the man went to the back of the store into the business office.

The man used an “unknown tool” to enter the office, but did not cause any damage, according to a police report. He was seen on surveillance footage taking cash from a register drawer that was sitting on top of a safe. The man put the money in his pockets and walked out of the store, police said.

The man was described in a police report as about 5 foot 10 inches tall, 185 lbs., 35 to 40 years old with black hair and slightly balding.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Gwinnett County detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Crime Stoppers tips may be rewarded with up to $2,000 if they lead to an arrest or indictment.
