A 67-year-old Gwinnett County woman was charged with DUI this month after allegedly causing a crash while she was drunk on vanilla extract, the Loganville Local News reported.

According to the online news outlet, the woman was involved in a June 6 traffic accident at the Loganville intersection of Ga. 10 and Ga. 20. When Loganville police arrived, the woman, who was identified only as a Lawrenceville resident, attempted to run away but fell. She later locked herself in the bathroom of a nearby business.

"A female officer was called to the scene to escort her out the bathroom," the Loganville Local News reported. "She was unable to perform the field sobriety test completely and officers reported the smell of alcohol on her breath and found an empty bottle of vanilla extract that she appeared to have consumed."
