A cool breeze from Canada will bring sunny skies and lower temperatures to Atlanta this weekend as an "Alberta Clipper" begins cooling off Georgia, said Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Karen Minton.

Friday morning dawned with temperatures in the mid-60s, but there won't be much of a warmup during the day, as afternoon temps are only expected to reach the mid-70s, a few degrees below average for this time of the year, said Minton.

Saturday morning will feel like fall football weather, with a low close to 50. A brisk breeze will make it feel cooler. The high temperature will not crack 70, said Minton.

"It will be a perfect fall afternoon," she said.

Sunday may have some Southerners looking for their long johns.

The low Sunday morning will be about 45, and once again the high will not crack 70.

Temperatures will rebound a bit next week, with highs again climbing into the 70s.

No rain is expected until at least the middle of next week, said Minton.
