Police are looking for a man they say participated in the gang rape of two women early Wednesday morning at a Conyers extended-stay motel.
Twenty-one-year-olds Defazio Sierra Taylor, Jadarrius Tamonquez Miller and Terry Bernard Watson were arrested outside America’s Best Value Inn on Dogwood Drive by Conyers police responding to a 911 call from one of their alleged victims.
By then, Joseph Joyce, 32, of Henry County, had already left the motel in a stolen car, police said. He’s wanted on multiple charges, including rape, battery, aggravated assault and armed robbery.
According to investigators, the four armed suspects went to the motel to meet two women they had been chatting with on backpage.com. They entered the women’s room and promptly took their cell phones, keys to their vehicle and cash, then raped them, police said.
Joyce then forced one of the women into her car and attempted to drive away, authorities said. She was able to escape, running to the motel’s front office, where she called 911.
The three apprehended suspects are being held at the Rockdale County Jail without bond, charged with two counts of rape, two counts of armed robbery, two counts of aggravated assault and one count of kidnapping each.
Anyone with information about Joyce’s whereabouts should call Conyers police at 770-483-6600.
