North Fulton commuters may see some traffic relief in the coming month.
The Alpharetta City Council Monday accepted a bid of $1.6 million for final construction work on Westside Parkway north of Old Milton Parkway. Officials estimate the road will be open to traffic by the end of April. The road, which parallels the heavily traveled Ga. 400, will now extend from Haynes Bridge Road in Roswell north past Windward Parkway into the City of Milton.
The Georgia DOT and North Fulton Community Improvement District are picking up all but $300,000 of the cost.
