A Cobb County high school teacher was arrested and charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession after he allegedly smoked pot outdoors, Channel 2 Action News reported.
Aaron Samuel Foster, 30, of Kennesaw was charged with marijuana possession of less than an ounce, a misdemeanor, police said.
According to a Kennesaw Police Department incident report, an officer saw a man standing next to a sport-utility vehicle with its rear hatch open in the parking lot of a business in the 1600 block of Collins Road at about 7:40 a.m. Tuesday.
The man had “a strong odor of burn marijuana emanating from him,” the report stated.
“I questioned Foster about why he was in the parking lot of a closed business, and he advised that he was there to collect his thoughts before heading to Osborne High School where he advised he was a teacher and a soccer coach,” police said.
Foster consented to a search of his vehicle, and police recovered a plastic bag and a black glass pipe, both containing suspected marijuana, police said. The man was arrested and charged.
