Thirteen Cobb high schools were included in the National High School Challenge Index, a ranking of the nation’s top schools conducted annually by The Washington Post. The newspaper ranks according to participation rates for Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and Cambridge tests. Cobb's schools stacked up accordingly: Allatoona, 1,435; Campbell, 728; Harrison, 1,209; Kell, 718; Kennesaw Mountain, 1,314; Lassiter, 459; McEachern, 1,625; North Cobb, 987; Osborne, 599; Pope, 388; Sprayberry, 1027; Walton, 111; Wheeler, 504.
