Cobb school district plans two information meetings in March

Two public information meetings will be conducted by the Cobb County School District in early March.

The first meeting will be 6:30 p.m. March 7 at Tapp Middle School, 3900 Macedonia Road, Powder Springs.

Input is requested on use of federal funds for Title I, II, III, IDEA and Carl D. Perkins and development of the Comprehensive Local Education Agency Improvement Plan.

Also, public input is requested on Homeless Program services and the revision to the Title I Parental Involvement Policy.

A Move On When Ready Dual Enrollment Summit will be 6 to 8 p.m. March 9 at Campbell High School, 5265 Ward St., Smyrna.

Opportunities for students to earn college credit while enrolled in high school and to receive full payment of tuition, mandatory fees and books will be presented.

Cobb counselors will provide details on dual enrollment and college representatives will be present to meet with parents and students.
