Cobb police are replacing the “Crime Update” data page compiled by officers at each precinct with a searchable database allowing residents to perform their own searches.
Due to budget cuts, the department is reducing time spent on administrative tasks, and devoting more time to investigating property crimes. The page was part of PENS, Police Email Notification System, and neighborhood watch program. The new database is available at, http://police.cobbcountyga.gov/pens.
The quarterly PENS meetings will continue, and the PENS email account will be monitored.
