Cobb museums host Civil War family event

Three Cobb County museums will host a family day event March 26 about life in Cobb during the Civil War.

“The Yankees are Coming: Life in Marietta During the Civil War” event will feature cooking and dance demonstrations, period music and war re-enactors at the Root Museum, The Marietta Museum of History and the Marietta Gone with the Wind Museum. Visitors can also see military equipment and weapons from the period, and learn how the war has been portrayed in literature and film.
