A Martin’s in Marietta recently aced its re-inspection from the health department after failing due to problems with cleanliness and food safety.
The 1215 Powder Springs St. location scored a 100 during the Feb. 14 health check, Cobb records show.

A Martin’s in Cobb County failed its recent health inspection for cleanliness and food safety issues.
The metro-wide restaurant chain has more than a dozen stores and is headquartered in Mableton, according to the company’s website.
It was the store at 1215 Powder Springs St. in Marietta that failed its Tuesday health check with a score of 65, records show. Any score below a 70 is considered failing.
The inspector noted an “accumulation of food debris” on the vegetable slicer in addition to grease in several spots throughout the kitchen.
Pork tenderloin and eggs were being held at too low of temperatures, the report said. The reach-in cooler had a temperature of 55 degrees instead of a mandated 41 degrees.
When reached for comment Thursday, manager Pam Jackson said: “Everything has been fixed already.”
She directed further questions to the corporate office, which wasn’t immediately available for comment.
The store nor corporate responded to questions from Channel 2 Action News, which went to the restaurant.
“Martin’s has the absolute best tenderloin biscuit and gravy I have ever had in my life,” customer Carol Dorris told WSB-TV.
Dorris said she often goes there with her grandson. She was surprised when told about the inspection failure.
“I’m leaving today, but I will come back if their rating comes up, and I will be checking on it to make sure that it does,” Dorris said.
Follow-up inspections are usually done within 10 days of the original evaluation.
