Cobb holds opens house for new senior wellness center

July 3, 2012Residents are invited to an open house on July 10 for Cobb County's new Senior Wellness Center in Marietta.
The facility, housed with other government offices in a renovated strip shopping center along Powder Springs Street, is scheduled to open in August. The new location should increase senior services in the county. Last year budget cuts led to Cobb closing its senior center in Smyrna and a senior day care center in Marietta.
The open house begins at 2 p.m. at the Central Library, 266 Roswell Street in Marietta.
