A 13-year-old boy riding a bicycle was hit by a car just after 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Cobb County fire officials said he has chest trauma, but additional details were not immediately available.

The 13-year-old was with his 12-year-old brother on bicycles in the crosswalk, headed east across Old Canton Road. A pickup truck turning right from Roswell Road struck the 13-year-old, Officer Dana Pierce, a spokesman for Cobb County police, said.
