Cobb chamber, schools seek Principal for a Day

Business and civic leaders in Cobb County are encouraged to take a half day out of their schedules for an educational opportunity in Cobb’s schools.

The Cobb Chamber of Commerce will place volunteers in Cobb and Marietta City Schools to serve as principals for part of the day. Volunteers will meet principals and faculty at their assigned school, and spend time with students in classrooms. The experience is designed to provide a first-hand account of public education and the challenges schools face.

Applications for volunteer principals are due Jan. 19.
