Clayton State University is seeking approval from the city of Morrow to put the school's logo on one of the south metro community's water towers.

The school has asked to be allowed to post a “Welcome to Morrow, Home of the Clayton State Lakers” sign on the city-owned tank at 6326 South Lee Street. The cost is expected to be around $26,000.

The Lee Street water tower is the latest of such structures on the southside to get new signage. The city of Stockbridge is painting its new tagline -- "Where Community Connects" -- on its four water towers. The $74,000 job will be taken from the city's general fund.
