The Women, Infants and Children Supplemental Nutrition Program has a new office in southwest Atlanta offering free services to low- and moderate-income families.

WIC operations began last week at the Fulton County Oak Hill Child, Adolescent and Family Center, 2805 Metropolitan Parkway SW. The WIC office is open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The federally funded program offers breastfeeding support, nutritional counseling and free vouchers for healthy food. To determine if you’re eligible for services, make an appointment by calling the WIC office at 404-612-3942.

“Although WIC stands for Women, Infants and Children, we also welcome fathers, foster parents and other guardians to bring their infants and children for services,” said Danica Carswell, Fulton WIC director.
