Child injured as car crashes into home

A child was taken to a hospital for treatment after a car crashed into a home in east Hall County early Saturday, according to a media report.
The incident happened shortly before 1 a.m. in the 3500 block of Southchase Drive, the Gainesville Times reported.
A child was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center and was listed in stable condition, the Times reported. The family of three adults and four children were to be given aid by the American Red Cross.
The car traveled out of the roadway and also struck two unattended vehicles, Georgia State Patrol spokesman Cpl. J.S. Munger said.
Jonathan Gillam, 20, of Gainesville, was charged with failure to maintain lane and operating an unsafe motor vehicle, Munger said.
Extensive damage was reported to the front of the house.
